Are you married to Salvatore Vasta the judge who was demoted from Family Court to Federal Circuit Court because of incorrect determinations and amongst other decisions did not present 'procedural fairness' in many of his decisions. Being involved in a case with my ex-husband in a property case, I found Salvatore Vasta to be rude, demeaning and I was certainly NOT afforded procedural fairness. I am in my 80's, was ill from my ex husband's domestic abuse, represented myself as I was left with no money (from a disastrous marriage) and was definitely treated as a second class citizen by Judge Vasta. I informed the Queensland Legal Council of this situation and was suggested an appeal. Unfortunately I could not afford the fees involved, would have to travel to Brisbane (which I was not able to), so I did not appeal. It was suggested I wrote to Chief Justice William Alstergren in Melbourne who again suggested an appeal. But my complaint about Judge Salvatore Vasta was taken seriously and I believe further action was taken with Judge Salvatore Vasta. His father Judge Angelo Vasta was removed from the Bench in Queensland, for being illegally involved in the Fitzgerald enquiry over 30 years ago. It was the first time this had happened in judicial circles which show the seriousness of this action. I am in Cleveland, Queensland and am appalled at the inadequate sentence handed down to Karen Williams, Mayor of Redland Shire, Queensland. When she crashed her car because of drunkeness, she could've killed someone, as what happened Australia Day last year to a young couple and their unborn baby. This man killed three people. There obviously needs to be greater scrutiny when lawyers are appointed to the Bench to rule over the lives of others.......
